Lenticular Clouds

Lenticular clouds appear as round or spinning discs. They are seen more frequently over very tall mountain ranges such as we have here surrounding Las Vegas Valley. The highest point near Las Vegas is Mount Charleston at almost an even twelve thousand foot. If you are in Las Vegas and have the time, please go have a good look at our famous mountains! That lovely Las Vegas Strip isn’t the only famous thing to see in Nevada.
