Moss

Today I went for one of my rides into the Red Rock Canyon area to stop and walk around a bit. I had a couple of great conversations with locals who hang out around there too. I seriously wanted to get some extra workout today so I opted to stop and walk up a ridge that I popped a leg muscle on a couple years back. No worries today but I assure you it was a long walk up to my chosen goal because of having to make frequent stops. Heart disease. Yep. Don’t let this stop you from getting out there!

The higher I climb, the more ancient sea floor you’ll see. The moss growing on the ancient sea floor has a heck of a colour contrast, I’d like to know how old the moss is as opposed to the fossil rock it’s stuck to. The sea floor rock is two hundred million years old according to my research. Hey, that’s older than me! I’ve several photos of the Valley as well coming up, I hope this set of the Strip and the Valley will clean up in processing better than recent tries. I hope you’ll hang around for the next photo sets.😬
