For many years now I’ve been a serious fan of commercial airliners. My fascination is with the physics of flight, the different fuselage and wing configurations and the idea that an object weighing well over one hundred tons can be lifted to eight miles or more above the surface of the Earth.

And travel at five hundred miles per hour as well. What’s not to love and be fascinated with! Have no fear, statistically, flight is safer than driving but so many of us are not OK with the idea of placing our fate in the hands of others. For some, a serious leap of faith is needed to board that flying tin can!

A Note From Abroad

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sailaway from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain
