The Iconic Joshua Tree

Joshua trees are my favorite desert dwellers. They are survivors living hundreds of years in a very harsh and unforgiving climate. Now that’s tough! I always feel kind of sad seeing them on the ground dead after being burnt crispy in a wild fire. Or where some numb nuts damaged the tree. They are my desert people, usually found in groups or very large groups but always reaching for the beautiful Mojave sun. Fun in the desert sun.

  1. Great capture of the Joshua tree!

  2. What’s the story behind the name, Joshua?
