Six Photos from My Drone

Hey all! Hope you are well! Thanks for visiting. Today I took the drone back out near Red Rock Canyon but with the darn SD card in it this time! Got out there yesterday, no card. Grrr. I took six photos from three hundred fifty foot and did try for some video too.

But for whatever the reason, I keep screwing up with getting video from up there. I should have recorded the video right from initial launch because when the aircraft was ready for liftoff, I just hammered the UP lever fully. The little drone climbed very quickly.

Very quickly to my chosen altitude. Mr. Pilot hits the Video record button! Gets drone home and discovers that guess what, no video again! I’ll figure this nonsense out tomorrow, come hell or high water! In the meantime it’s the Golden Knights -vs- the Detroit Redwings today. Yeah! My old team from Deeetroit up against the Golden Knights. Yes!!

    • Thanks Marcus!

It’s so fun. And interesting to use these little aircraft, but I find myself feeling a bit skittish about where to fly. The entire Red Rock Canyon area is OK to fly except a certain area which is the Scenic Loop drive. A 12 mile drive which is awesome.

Would be great to fly over my old house in Michigan which was basically in the field corn and soybean fields. hehe I hope your travels are going well.

      • You’re right about finding places to fly. I feel the Spark is more unobtrusive due to its size. Tomorrow I will to some hiking on the Oregon coast. Too bad the Spark is air home 😉 ! Have a great Sunday, John! Marcus

        • Have fun hiking Marcus. I’m waiting for the weather to clear here, have a long walk planned to get the drone up close to the mountains near Red Rock Canyon. I agree on the size too. I saw a huge drone out there yesterday, just too big.
