The DMV office on West Flamingo Road is one of the larger DMV offices in the Valley which is why I avoid it. This truck is just west of that location, promising ‘super fast smog’ checks. My truck doesn’t need one just yet which is good but to get your plates and registration here you must first pass the smog test. Smog can be really bad in Las Vegas Valley at times! In Michigan, getting your little sticker for the license plate is dirt cheap when compared to Las Vegas and Clark County where my little sticker tag costs me $500.00 per year. ouch.
But it depends on the type of vehicle that you own so don’t let that bother you! The cost of living is a bit higher in the Valley, but trust me, it’s less costly than putting down root in California. I’ve become totally acclimated to life in a big city, and that’s saying lots considering I moved here from the country, literally surrounded by woods, corn fields and soy bean fields. The one thing that grinds me are the rude drivers and red light runners. An incredible display of pure ignorance and respect for others. Otherwise, Las Vegas is a great city to live in!
