As the Rains Approached

At this moment there is a severe thunderstorm moving north toward Las Vegas. As is often the case I was able to get some meager photos of it before it moves in which it still has yet to do. I sincerely don’t want those quarter-size hailstones pummeling my truck! Anyway, I drove to a local ridge I’ve shot from before which is slowly being covered up by houses for these photos. It’s on the far west side of Las Vegas Valley. I used three lenses this time, a 10-20mm wide angle, a 70-300mm zoom and an 18-55mm standard lens. More to come.

A Note From Abroad

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sailaway from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain
