A Wet Mojave

It’s Monsoon Season here in the High Desert which includes southern Nevada. This time of year, tropical warmth and the rains move north from Mexico and the Baja Peninsula via the Pacific Ocean and pour copious quantities of rain on the Mojave Desert. The last few days here have been much more humid (for Las Vegas) so today I took a drive west into the Red Rock Canyon area as the skies were threatening and captured these photos. More photos to come, this time of year is best for getting these beautiful rainy Mojave Desert photos.

A Note From Abroad

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sailaway from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain
