Peekaboo Bird

In Calico Basin at the Red Spring parking area you will find some shaded picnic tables which is where this bird was photographed. There were bird families under each of the three shades, the chics and parent birds chirping can get really loud as the birds land next to you or fly by you at full speed. Dangerous air traffic! Also, the Golden Mantled Ground Squirrels practically run up your legs when begging for food like the birds do.

A Note From Abroad

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sailaway from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain
