The Battle Is Real

It’s a daily battle to keep my blood pressure down as I have chronic high blood pressure which means a literal handful of pills each day. Some of them taste putrid so I try to pound them down as fast as possible but never take them on an empty stomach. That hurts! If you have blood pressure issues then I urge you to keep close quarters on it. After all, High blood Pressure isn’t called the Silent Killer for nothing.

  2. The year that I began blogging – in a different blog – on WordPress.com (2009) I was diagnosed with high BP, but after that – while on medicine for it – it was never high again, and two years later I was taken off it. I think it was misdiagnosed and that the reading was from anxiety I’d had about a different issue at the time. But I am sympathetic to anyone who has to cope with the condition. I had 2 years on the medicine and hated every minute of it.

Can you take it with something bitter-tasting, like a pickle or chilli or something? That might disguise the taste better.

A Note From Abroad

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sailaway from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain
