Critter Love

Whilst getting some photos today in the open desert, I spotted a Golden Mantled Ground Squirrel which are super fast and hard to capture. Not the best photo really but considering how few there were and the speed with which they scurry about, I’ll certainly take this shot!

  1. Awesome picture! So different than our squirrels here in Oregon!

    • Thanks Lana! I was at the Red Rock Canyon Scenic Overlook and came across some folks from Michigan, my home state. I told the ladies about the critters then agreed that we love the Yooper! Then I had a fun chat with a couple I assumed were from BC, which they were but were actually British citizens, moved to Canada. Great chat. At one point, the husband mentioned that the English setting up home over here was a “family misunderstanding”. I agree. God bless England. 🇬🇧
