My Beautiful Mojave Desert

I knew back in 1979 that I would one day return to the desert southwest. How? It was that trip that dad and I made to Phoenix, Arizona for another one quarter mile drag boat race at Firebird Lake. I loved the arid, dry climate, the beauty of the mountains and open sky and so much more. The warmth of the desert in winter as it was at the time in Michigan. Today, I am more home than ever in my life. Having purchased my own home recently solidifies everything for me.

  1. I like the way the chollas dominate the foreground! Another winner in b&W, John!
