Just a Quick Drive

I decided on a quick ride around the area this afternoon, here are three photos, one shows elevation changes nicely with Frenchman Mountain many miles east.

  1. I’m curious, are all these mountains hiking-friendly? I’d certainly try to get to the top of each if I lived in the area.

    • I suppose this has to do with your skill level and physical conditioning. But there are sooo many hiking trails to challenge you, you’ll not soon run out of challenges. And then we have Mount Charleston and it’s hikes. A hiking and climbing paradise really!

      • Hmm, I see! We have some lovely mountains in the south of Poland, but they’re very much like tourist attractions really, always packed with tens of thousands of people. But, on the plus side, the trails are nicely organized and there are shelters peppered around the mountains, so you can usually reward yourself with some nice food when you reach the top! 😃

        • That sounds nice Alphe, our Mount Charleston has food at the ski lodge in winter, occasionally in summer for events. There’s also Mount Charleston Lodge with a full bar and kitchen, good food! I’ve no idea of the topography of Poland. Never been to Europe!

        • Our mountains look a bit different but I love them with my whole heart! You can Google Tatra Mountains to see what I mean, they’re beautiful!

        • I did look them up just now, they look beautiful! Now a national park too, and 8000 foot peaks. Nice!! 🙏🏻❤️

        • Well I’ve still not made it to 8000ft, but I’ve reached 7000 on some occasion. I still hope to reach our highest mountain peak, which is around those 8000!

        • Go for the summit! Wish I could hike higher than I do, my heart is weak so it limits my hiking.
