  1. Hmmm… now this is interesting.
In one town on the border between Czech Republic and Austria, there’s an old duty-free zone (currently the whole EU is one big duty-free zone so it’s not used for that purpose anymore). In that zone, there’s a sort of a mini (really mini) fun fair kind of thing, called Excalibur City (Google ‘Excalibur City Czech Republic’). It’s nowhere near the place in Las Vegas, but looking at this black and white photo and the title, for a second I thought I was looking at our Excalibur City. Our Excalibur is actually one of my favourite places in Europe, simply because of how amazing/ridiculous it looks. A few castles and towers, all looking like cardboard cutouts from some comic book plus massive dragon statues. Kinda like a place straight out of some cheap fantasy book. My parents find it absolutely ridiculous, but I’ve been in love with that place ever since I first saw it as a child 😀
I’m planning to post photos from last holidays at some point in the next few weeks, I will definitely have to include our Excalibur in the post (we made a detour just so I could briefly visit that place :D).
