This photo was taken inside the Scenic Loop drive, a twelve mile drive on a one-way two lane road. It’s a U.S. Fee Area so you’ll have to cough up about twenty bucks for the pass. The view is looking south and you can see Charleston Boulevard far below you. Take this drive on a non-holiday, and during the week for less traffic and crowds at the stops along the way. I prefer summer out there, there’s always far less traffic then because of the heat! Besides, the elevation out there is much higher than the valley which will cool things down.
