John it is something we see all the time in the mountains here. The action is known as spindrift and I think also used with sand or water as well.
Wow really! Thanks so much for this, I appreciate it. 😎 This is so different compared to 110 degrees in the valley. I thought of how it may be to be standing atop those ridges. If possible!
It can get very dangerous so one has to be careful to be sure. The extreme example would be when you see the snow coming off Mt Everest in a spindrift. That’s a terrible storm.
You guys are mountaineers compared to me! I can’t imagine being caught in that blasting wind and snow up there, no thanks!!
