I can relate to the alone and no family in my state. But, I love it here.
Me too which is why I stay. Purchasing my home is further confirmation that I am staying put! No more bitter northern winters for me. I just miss my adult kids, my dad and friends up there. I was a difficult decision.
Desert life is a different kind of place, and one that is incredibly beautiful. Thanks for this magnificent vistas of the Mojave Desert, John.
