My friend Dave sent me this email from Michigan the other day. I did some quick research on this email and found this link. I didn’t have a look at the Snopes website. If it’s a hoax, no biggy. If it’s true then it’s true but in either case this shows how effing sickening our Child Indoctrination stations are in AmeriKa.
As you already know, I send you items all the time. The mail group that I use to do so is named, “General Humor Group”. I mention that because even though I am sending this to that mail group, it really is anything but funny!

THIS REALLY HAPPENED. DUTCH WAS ASKED TO SPEAK AT A GRAMMAR SCHOOL RECENTLY. THE YOUNG TEACHER INTRODUCED HIM BY SAYING THE SPEAKER WAS A VETERAN OF WORLD WAR ELEVEN (AS IN WWII)?? DUTCH STOOD UP & WALKED OUT OF THE SCHOOL WITHOUT SAYING A WORD. END OF STORY.
GOD HELP US! FOR THOSE WHO UNDERSTAND, NO EXPLANATION IS NEEDED. FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND, NO EXPLANATION IS POSSIBLE.
The strange thing is, we have more direct access to history (Wikipedia) than ever before and so you would think we would know more. Perhaps the problem is that we’re bombarded with far too much information these days. I asked my grandchildren how many pounds there were in an ounce (a famous trick question) and the answer came back – what’s an ounce? Pounds, ounces, feet, inches just don’t exist over here any more! Somebody moved the world on and forgot to tell us!!!
We do have too much info in some ways Richard, an overload. The Metric system never took full hold over here thank God. I despise it, our English system is far superiour. It sucks that I have to have SAE and Metric tools in my toolbox…
My gut says hoax, but I can see why it’d be easy to believe.
I agree Curt. Just seems a bit fishy to use a cliche’… If this is true, the man should get up and walk out!
