The Spiked Tree

25th May 2019 John

I’m not so sure that this spike thingy on my palm tree is from a blown off frond. It doesn’t have any tines (hooks) on it so then what is this weird thing? Any suggestions? I could visit a local nursery with a photo I guess, ask someone who has the answer!
