Tootsie Pops!

A conversation with a friend on IG today had me recall this fun old TV commercial from my childhood. How ironic it is that I can’t lick the lollypop today because of type two diabetes! No faux sweeteners for me, no thanks. By the way, the voice you here is no other than Dick Clark. In case your wondering – I’m XX! 😂

  1. I tried eating one without crunhing it early in. Not a good idea! They get grim toward the Tootsie Roll center. Tootsie Rolls are meant to be chewed, not licked.

This commercial is a part of fond memories of childhood!

      • Agreed! The one thing I’d do differently: Not resisdt naps. I had to survive napless (mostly) till retireement. It is a treat to be able to take a nap when one feels the need.

        • Which may be for me today Doug, been waking up at 5 AM recently for no apparent reason!

          • If you can do it, do it. It is amazing what even a brief nap does to refresh you. I think Hispanic cultures that practice the siesta got it right. Of course, the time use for the siesta means everything after that is later – later quitting time, later supper, later bedtime, but the benefit of refreshing in the middle of the hottest time of the day makes perfect sense to me since I do it! LOL!
