A Mojave Landscape

These snaps were taken on the highest part of Moenkopi Road near the Red Rock Canyon campgrounds. The campgrounds are open only during the cooler months of the year as not many folk are going to camp in over one hundred degree weather on the scorching hot desert floor right? The road affords a really nice overview of Calico Basin a mile or more northwest of this location.
