The photo below shows my father on the left racing his biggest competitor in 1965 on Sanford Lake, Michigan. I was just five years young! These are surely the years where I developed my love of all things boat and boat racing. Car racing is terribly boring to me as it just never held my interest. Why?
Because it’s not boats and boat racing! Both boats have the same power head, a Koenig six cylinder two-stroke engine with six carburetors and six exhaust pipes producing enough horsepower to propel the boat over one hundred miles per hour. They burn Methanol instead of regular gas which burns cleaner than gas.
