Two Roach Coaches

Back in the day at my job one of these mobile kitchens would pull into the shop with plenty of food freshly made, but the food wasn’t always that good either, hence the name Roach Coach came about. Mmmm roaches! No, I never saw any roaches and the food did hit the old spot being midway between breakfast and lunch! πŸ˜‚

    • The term originated for me many years ago in Michigan, my home state working at the family business. Every day twice a day the truck would pull into the shop.

    • Well I hope none were baked or cooked into the food! It’s an old joke though. I doubt there were any roaches on board the truck. πŸ€”πŸ˜‚

      • My mom told me a story about the baker in their town dealing with an unhappy customer who was returning bread because of roaches in it. As she put the bread down, a roach ran across the counter. She said, “SEE! There’s one.” The baker picked up the roach and popped it into his mouth, saying, “That was a raisin.” (And there went the incriminating evidence.)
