Good morning from Las Vegas. Here’s installment number six from the ride in the mountains a couple days back. I hope your weather is as nice as ours is today with full sunshine and sixty eight degrees!

I think I would be huffing and puffing at altitude these days. I went to Addis Ababa once…about 8,000 feet up. Much younger then but still huffing and puffing….
I was just shy of 8000 foot but honestly, I wasn’t hiking or walking anywhere. I did hike this area once though with the now ex, I was indeed huffing and puffing. I’m glad she’s gone.
You got right up there into the cool weather! Beautiful though.
It felt nice! 😎
I think it would if you were in a hot place. Me, I’m looking for the opposite – someplace toasty warm.
7,000 feet up. I would imagine the air gets a little bit thin at that altitude. Wonderful images of wonderful scenery. I’m coming over!!!
Thanks Richard! It’s definitely thinner but it doesn’t bother me at all. The truck engine on the other hand likes to turn just a bit more RPM as indicated by the gauge. I had a small car with a four cylinder engine a few years ago, that thing huffed and puffed it’s way almost all the way up here! Crappy four cylinder engines!
Looks like a great outing, beautiful place.
Thanks Kelly! It’s always a great ride up there anytime of year. If there had been snow melt running across the roads I would have turned around as my truck has never seen salt.
