Departing Tampa

If you love to fly as I do then you’ll like this 3:30 minute video I made with the iPhone late last year. Probably the best takeoff video I’ve made to date. I’m in the Airbus A320 series aircraft, a powerful beast that easily made the 3.5 hour non-stop hop from Tampa to Las Vegas.

It’s always so nice to see those familiar mountains and the Strip just before touchdown. Now that I’m not worried about storage space limitation thanks to WordPress.com greed, I will upload this video I’ve wanted to share here.

Yay for external hosting, right?

Frankly, I’m so disappointed with WordPress policies in capping us at 13G and terminating it’s users ability to purchase storage space for our individual accounts for a reasonable price.

Most of us don’t have $300 bucks laying about to spend on what is basically an avocation. I was very clear with WP via recent online chats with these folks. Shame on the greed.

  1. Vimeo so far from just today gives me good vibes but let’s see what goes. I’ve got tons of takeoff and landing videos from years gone by, Tim. It’s always fun to fly, always get that window set.

  2. Interesting. I never thought of doing a video of takeoff. As far as hosting sites go. Zenfolio allows unlimed space for $50 a year. I use it for a lot of nonblog-related work.
