Such lovely reflections. Hard to believe freezing temps were there too!

Thanks! It’s not that cold, not like where you are. Just enough for those water droplets to cling on. 69 degrees today,71 tomorrow then cooling back to the 60’s. 😬😎

Cold for Vegas! 🥶

Yes, currently 54 with 69 today, 71 tomorrow then cooling down after that. Not quite out of the winter cold here which is nothing compared to up north. 😎

Last time I was in northern Nevada during winter it was more than 30 below! I don’t think of Vegas as being icy! Great ice shots! 😊😊😊

Thank you! I’m guessing you were in Reno or Carson City? They are about 500 miles north. My ex and I had rented a home a few years ago here, the little pool had a thin layer of ice on it once. The 100’s are coming!! 😎

Yes, near Reno but I go through Vegas here and there 😊😎😊

I’ve never been there! 😂

And look how blue that horizon is on a cold day.

Does Austin also have 300+ days per year of sunshine? I think that’s also a desert area?

Probably not that many perfectly clear days, but a lot. Often cloudy and rainy this time of year through May and then the summer is clear and hot until about October. Not quite a desert, but semi-arid. The real desert is in west Texas out towards Big Bend and El Paso.

We got a light dusting of snow in Austin. First time in a few years. Probably won’t happen again anytime soon.

Hi Jason, I’m guessing you won’t miss that white stuff! I don’t miss it…

I have never lived with a lot of snow. It’d be nice to see a good covering a time or two a year, for the scenic value. I have only seen that twice in Austin in the 20 years that I have lived here. It’s already up in the mid-70s today. Makes me want to go to the lake.
I just like this time of year because I don’t have to run the air conditioner.
