Taken yesterday this photo has a portion of the Las Vegas Range in it which forms the northern border of Las Vegas Valley. My friend Dave back in Michigan commented once that the mountains are bald. Yes they are, but if you go to the Spring Mountains you’ll find yourself in the Alpine altitudes. Plenty of trees up there.
