Tit For Tat and All of That

Do you use Instagram? I’ve been on Instagram for about three years now and I am absolutely sick of the dumbass Follow then Unfollow game. My account is private, nobody gets in unless I say so. So I am careful to have a good look at an account that requests a follow. My estimate is that I approve about sixty percent of follow requests.

Then, after several days or a week-ish, some of them unfollow my account. Why? My account has all of the photography that you see here on this blog, on it. If you don’t like what you see, then why did you request to follow my account? It’s always the tit-for-tat follow and unfollow game on Instagram. To those who play this game, piss off.

  1. I hate this also. Iโ€™ve gotten to where I donโ€™t follow back for a few days to see if they just followed for the follow-back. When they unsubscribe, then I know.

    • Bingo, great idea! This isn’t the usual thing I upload to the blog but I just get fed up yet don’t want to delete the account just yet. On the other hand, WordPress needs to sit down with the folks who set up IG’s ability to block users, period. I’m sick of running off (deleting) spam follower accounts here.

            • Yes, I never allow business or suspicious accounts to follow, it’s a daily chore to prune the dead branches off of this blog if you understand that. Hence the blog hasn’t many followers! I do this for the enjoyment of it and the very nice people I’ve met for years, some I’ve literally followed for years!

              • Thatโ€™s a great way to say that: pruning. I will have been blogging one year soon. Itโ€™s been a challenge but so worth it and so much fun as well. Itโ€™s nice to meet the good people

                • Thank you so much! I try to get along with everyone here. WP has always had a solid sense of community I’ve never found elsewhere. I’ve been using WP for ten or more years…

                    • Thanks! I’ve had other blogs, this one has been active since 2016 although the Archives don’t reflect this. Thanks be to WP not allowing storage upgrades anymore. I’ve removed too many, these days I’m either hosting elsewhere or have seriously reduced the image sizes to around 200kb or so.

    • I meant to ask you what your user name is on IG, unless you prefer not to say. I totally understand. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
