I first heard about the Navajo code talkers about 10 years ago, I think on PBS. They are known about and posted about on facebook time to time among friends mostly in the southeast US but also from other regions. Interesting post, John!

My dad was a WWII vet and told me about the code talkers. Living in New Mexico, I’d met a few. I a friend mad a documentary on local code talkers 25 or so years ago. But I don’t think the code talkers are well known outside of NM and AZ.
They are great people, Timothy! I never knew of them until now. 🇺🇸
