Hi Sandra, thank you. 😎

I really like the first photo.

Thanks Anneli, it was installed about two years ago.
It’s a divider between the area where there are steel roofed sunshades and cooking grilles and the ‘wild’ area that has the hiking trails. It really grinds my gears to see tenny tracks outside the trail proper! 😑

I agree with you. Once a trail is made, use it if you’re going to be out there.

Thank you Anneli! Life is so weird – I care so much for the preservation of this desert, contrasted by being somewhat accustomed to -20F weather as a young man. Eh? 🤔🌵

I used to live in northern BC and I never want to be that cold again.

The first photo is excellent.

Thanks! That’s a fairly new fence in Calico Basin just outside the city.

B&W makes a good choice. Nice shots.

Thanks guys! Not these photos but sometimes it’s the only way to rescue a bad photo.

If it wasn’t for the heat, skeeters, locusts, and poor healthcare, I might consider moving back to the desert. What is your electric bill in the summer?

The health care here isn’t as good as back home for sure. Skeeters? They are extremely rare here in my experience. I live alone so monthly costs are a bit lower I suppose. The summer cooling bill is around $200 bucks, maybe a bit more… I’m pulling that number from what memory I have left!
Great images John. You have the touch!
Thanks so much, Richard! 🙏🏻
