You are a long way north of Las Vegas at this point where SR160 meets the ninety-five freeway out of Las Vegas. You’ve driven north through the little city of Pahrump on SR160. Turn right, you’ll head back to Las Vegas, turn left, you’ll head for Tonopah, Reno and Carson City, our state capital. Let’s head south, Las Vegas is less than one hundred miles south, Reno is about five hundred miles north of Las Vegas. I like to sleep in my own bed, one day I’ll drive up there.

Sounds like south was the right choice, at least this time. ๐
Indeed! I don’t have a good reason to visit Reno or Carson City…
I’d be turning left and heading straight for Death Valley. It’s a day trip if you stay overnight in Pahrump. At least a day trip on the east side of the park. It was a lot less expensive than staying in the park by a lot!
I plan to take a day trip to Death Valley when this situation settles down. Could probably go anyway but…
Itโs a big open place where you can social distance if you stay away from the visitors center which is still probably closed???
South is usually a good way to get into trouble.
I would totally fly there… just for lunch!
๐ฎ and… dinner… and then leftovers to take home if theyโd let me fly with them. ๐
Wow, the food must be incredible! Sounds like you miss your desert home…
I sure do! I could stand a few dust devils and wide open sky ๐ ๐ And those tacos ๐ฎ
Decisions! The first time I had Tacos al Pastor was in Reno and Ive been hooked ever since. If you ever get the chance, try Tacos el Rey in Reno for some good tacos!

OK thanks for the tip! It’s a long drive up there, no surprise there are flights but they must be under an hour.
