He’s been dead for thousands of years now but he has once again returned to this space with some new processing! Those magnificent Pharaohs, so impressive…
Below are the lyrics to Steve Martin’s legendary song.
King Tut (King Tut)
Now when he was a young man
He never thought he’d see (King Tut)
People stand in line to see the boy king. (King Tut)How’d you get so funky? (Funky Tut)
Did you do the monkey?
Born in Arizona
Moved to Babylonia (King Tut)(King Tut) Now, if I’d known
They’d line up just to see him, (King Tut)
I’d taken all my money
And bought me a museum. (King Tut)Buried with a donkey (Funky Tut)
He’s my favorite honkey!
Born in Arizona
Moved to Babylonia (King Tut)Dancin by the Nile, (Disco Tut)
The ladies love his style, (Boss Tut)
Rockin for a mile (Rockin’ Tut)
He ate a crocodile. (Ooh)He gave his life for tourism. (King Tut)
I saw Van Halen when they got back together with David Lee Roth. It was one of my all time favorite shows! This Steve Martin bit on SNL is hilarious.
Excellent! I just never liked Sammy Hagar, he was never better than DLR! I follow him (DLR) on Instagram as well as Eddy and his son Wolf who now plays bass for the band. If it’s even touring… We saw them at the Joe Loius Arena in Detroit in the early-ish 1980’s. That’s got a story behind it… Whoooaaaa!!! ππ»
Same here, never could get into Sammy Hagar. Sounds like a great story!
Itβs a story of being too drunk and a fight over a sweat rag! ππ€ͺ
LOL, I love rock and roll! \m//
(that’s my attempt at devil horns)
π
π Do you ever feel as though your still somehow in the 1980’s? π
Yep, the 80s and 90s live on in my little world, definitely!
Tut “uncommon” rides again.
Itβs funny how many crazy things people write about this Pharaoh online! π¬
Tut was a wild and crazy kinda guy.
Steve Martin was hilarious back in the day!
Steve Martin is a funny guy. I saw his as a warm up act for a band in the mid 70s. He was so funny. I remember his act, but I don’t remember the band he was a warm up for.
The band must have sucked! Seeing The Who, Van Halen and Rush was a great experience back in those days! I’m sad that Neal Peart passed…
