Joshua trees that is, not some fella named Joshua. Or Joshua in the Bible! The rock face you see beyond the trees is the ancient fault line, sometimes called the Red Rock Escarpment too.
Red Rock Canyon proper is about two miles north from this location. I will never become tired of the beautiful Mojave Desert!
Beautiful compositions here John. The desert has so much beauty and I love the way you have captured that here.
The desert is really beautiful. Interesting stripes on the rocks.
Thank you so much! The lines are a result of this area once being a shallow sea around two hundred million years ago. People have found seashells high in the mountains! Now it’s about 3000 feet above sea level. And hot, we are forecast for 111 degrees in the next three days or so! š„šµš
Mui caliente!
I had to look up your comment, I speak fluent, fluid English only. Yeah, it’s been far warmer this summer than any in the previous 7 years living here. š„š“šµ
To know English is great in this world. You can travel almost everywhere and speak you own language. Nobody speaks Finnish outside our borders, so we have to know at least English to survive and our schools have a large variety of language to study.
I see, that’s interesting! So different than here. Our school system is not as good as it used to be in my opinion.
It’s a beautiful fault.
Thank you, Timothy! š
