Here are a few more clicks from Calico Basin yesterday. I couldn’t get many squirrel photos as the guy feeding them was around the table where the food was. And perhaps Covid too.
I had the Nikkor 24/200mm attached, so I had that much anyway. There was a large uptick in people in the basin yesterday in spite of it being Wednesday, I suspect that it has a lot to do with the fact that the twelve-mile scenic loop drive is currently requiring reservations for entry.
Damned Covid. I along with all of us are so frustrated with this situation and the bullshit restrictions.
Beautiful pictures John. We recently got the bird feeder and watching so many birds enjoying the food. Although the squirrels get lion’s share, the birds are chirping by happily.
The squirrel is the star, as usual. But the shot of the Gambel’s quail is neat too.
Soo cute🐤
Love these photos John.but the squirrel is stealing the show.
He sooo cute!! ☺️🐿
They are too cute aren’t they!
Cute critters.
Thanks Tim, sometimes I wanna be a cute critter with no worries… 🤷♂️🤪🤪 The world is mad.
These are beautiful, John.
Thanks so much, Anneli, they were a bit tough too fix as they were too dark. It’s actually spitting a bit of rain here, amazing!
Yay! Get out there with your tin can and save some of those raindrops!
Haha, I did very briefly stand in the rain, but wow was it so cold, Anneli! Almost as though it could create an icing event which I can tell you a good story about.
Okay. if you think that is cold, treasure that moment, and save a few goosebumps for next August.
