Davis Dam is located well south of Las Vegas near Bullhead City, Arizona, and Laughlin, Nevada on the Colorado River. I have included links for these locations, but seeing the dam in person is always better of course, as is visiting Hoover Dam. Hoover Dam is open on a limited basis for visitors, but I can wait. I haven’t been down to Laughlin in a good while now though, some fresh photos of Davis Dam with the new Nikon and Nikkor lenses would be wonderful. Stay safe, people, we all can wait a bit.

It’s been years since we have seen Hoover Dam..but have never seen Davis Dam.
Good info share, John.
Thanks, stop on down, I’ll be your guide!
I have never been to Laughlin or Reno
Laughlin is a nice little town, worth the day trip drive.
Nice capture. Thanks for the Colorado River link.
Wonderful capture!!
Thank you, Leyla! β€οΈππ»
A few years ago, we spent several days at the Davis County Park campground along the river below the damn. It gets crazy windy there.
High winds are common in winters in Southern Nevada I’ve noted after 8 years here, Ingrid. Almost predictable. ππ΄
I’ve never seen this dam. Thanks for the photo share.
You are welcome, Anneli! That day, the water was so very cold yet I put my hands in it, instead of freezing my tootsies. πππ΄
