Beautiful Birds and City Views

I’m slowly winding down the bird photos from the park the other day, the city views were taken today while I was in a not so busy area of the park where I could play around with the CB Radio equipment that I very rarely use. Actually, it’s more fun to use than the ham radio gear. I started my radio hobby in 1979 actually, which was my senior year in High School. I have another radio being delivered in a couple of days, it’s not a CB radio, rather it’s a ten-meter radio for the ten-meter ham radio band at 28.000 to 29.900mhz. Radio and photography, great hobbies!

Don’t You Dare Include Me

This afternoon I was scanning through my Instagram account as usual. I came across a comment from a very public figure that I followed until today that insinuated that I and basically all white people are all guilty of helping to keep the racism against black people rolling. I am so offended by this person’s blatant lie.

Case in point – I went to Michigan public schools that had black students. My high school years were spent alongside young black men and women. In my neighborhood here in Las Vegas, we have a real mix of races. Black, white, and Asians all live in my neighborhood very peacefully, everyone gets along wonderfully!

Add to this the fact that I almost daily encounter very friendly black people around the city whom I treat no differently than anyone else, opening a door for him or her as an example as I do for anyone else. These people and the so-called news media in this country are a sack full of liars. Don’t you dare include me in your lies!

I was raised well by parents who have a great deal of morality in them. They taught myself and my sister to have respect for other people, period. We were not taught to hate people or treat others with violence and always be respectful both at work and while in public. Don’t you dare include me in your bullshit lies, stinking American media!

Geese, Ducks and Coots

Not feeling like sitting on the couch all day today I headed out for a joy ride that ended up taking me back to the park again. This time, the park wasn’t jammed with tons of people, allowing me some peace and quiet to get some decent photos with the Nikon and 24/70mm lens. It’s si beautiful today!

Coming up in the next set from today, I have some photos of very aggressive geese, or are they ducks, fighting. I was surprised to see how vicious these birds can be.

Good Morning Landscapes

Good morning from sunny Las Vegas Valley, I hope your week will be a great week. I have no plans for the day except taking the video my doorbell camera recorded Saturday morning around 2AM to the local police precinct. Let’s see if they recognise this creep. Have a wonderful Monday, friends.😊

I Forgot The Battery

On a whim, I headed for Floyd Lamb Park once again today but forgot to get the battery for the Nikon from the wall charger. Call me senile? I also forgot that it’s Sunday which means that the park would be super busy which it was. Usually, I drive right to the entrance gate and booth but not today, I was at least ten cars back from the booth.

Driving through the park I noticed multiple groups of people all near the ponds, the geese, and other birds scattered among the hundreds of people. I hopped out of the truck and had a short walk but decided to head back to the truck and home. These days, everyone carries a backup camera with them in the form of a phone camera.

Frankly, I use my iPhone as a camera, as a social media device, and to arm and disarm my home alarm system more than I do to text or call family members. So on the way to the park, out comes the trusty iPhone, always ready to capture the photo. These photos aren’t Nikon quality so don’t laugh! I do like the simplicity of the camera though.
