I photographed this sweet little bird yesterday in Calico Basin. My best guess after searching online is that he/she is a House Finch. In any case, these little birds are so sweet, they make me happy inside! Do you know its name?

That bird was an obliging subject, and those little sparrow-like birds can be hard to tell apart. Nice photo of her!
Hi John, I would say it’s a female House Sparrow.
I have no idea, but what a great expression on its face. Cool shot 🙂
Yes, it looks like a House Finch but I am not sure. A wonderful and so cute bird that made me smile 🙂
Excellent moment and a photograph, John!
Thanks so much, Kaya. 😊❤️
Looks like a young bird, but I would guess that it’s maybe not a house finch but some bird from the sparrow family? I don’t know. The finches have striped breasts and this one has plain beige without mottling or stripes (although, if it’s a young bird, that might still change). Also, it seems (hard to tell) to have a hint of a stripe over each eye. If you had a side view it might help.
Thanks, Anneli. I noticed the stripe over the left eye too, I saw something similar when looking at websites this morning. They are so darn cute! 😍
They are. I love birds and little animals.
They make me happy inside! 😂😍
