My Poor Palm trees!

Don’t they look like shit? Fortunately, three days hence they will get a great pruning by a new company I found a couple weeks ago that was pruning my neighbours trees on a different street in my sub. See those white flowers? The bees just adore them, they also signal that the process of producing seeds is just about complete.

You definitely want those stalks cut off before they go to seed, otherwise, you’ll be pulling up baby palm trees for weeks! Both Sago Palms are doing dandy since I gave them a proper pruning a couple months ago. These trees grow super slow so be patient.

I pruned that baby Mediterranean Fan Palm this morning too, it was getting a bit shaggy. It probably shouldn’t be there next to the fence, or wall. Fences down here are frequently just cinderblock walls. And I hope the many birds around here don’t poop on my umbrella!

    • Thanks, they seriously need that pruning. The trees got to this point about one month sooner than last year which I hope means that I’ve done well taking care of them.

    • Oh yes indeed! They are all on a buried water system that runs twice per week for one hour. Since I purchased this home, all of the Palms have been growing much better and super fast. I enjoy taking care of this small property, so easy! I call it Pride of Ownership. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒด

        • No, the tree is very healthy. It does this every year and it’s a bit early this year but no worries. I’ll be happy to see the tree back to normal next week! I try to take super good care of my home inside and out. ๐ŸŒด
