Reminds me of a photo that was used in our grade seven music book next to the song/hymn, “All Glory, Laud, and Honour.” The words to the song were written by Theodulf of Orleans in 820, and the music was by Melchior Teschner in 1603. The only reason I remember that song from grade seven is that our music teacher had us sing the harmony parts (which Bach added to Teschner’s version) and it sounded so beautiful. Somehow the photo is connected to the song in my brain, and yet the words I associate with it are from Silent Night: Glory streams from heaven afar. Even now when I see the light doing that radiant display, I think those words.
