As much as I’ve crabbed about overcast skies here there is always beauty in those clouds so high above. The palm tree image is from the iPhone, the others are from the Nikon with the 50mm lens and the ND filter attached.

The second shot with just trees, clouds and mountains is spectacular. Most interesting clouds with no man-made stuff at all. Nice! (even tho the palms aren’t native but that’s ok. lol)
The palms grow very well here obviously, they line the Strip and many places here. I have 6 palms on my little property. The second photo is looking almost due north at the south end of the Sheep Range. Gass Peak is out of frame to the right at 6000 feet. Thanks!

You’re right. The clouds add a lot of interest to the photos. Blue skies are nice to have but for a photo, the clouds are more interesting.
