I gobbled that last of my previous pot of chili this morning, the breakfast of champions! I had purchased the Fixin’s for the next pot yesterday so this morning I got to work on the next pot. I hope that this one is as tasty as the last. Sometimes they just have a better flavor even though I try to keep each pot the same. Time for a taste test soon!

Thanks so much! I just made a fresh pot today actually, it’s still slow-cooking for 6 hours. For this batch, I turned up the heat quite a bit!

We made this one with ground beef and fresh garden tomatoes, peppers, and onions. 🤤
I’ve never put any fresh-sliced tomatoes in there and rarely any actual peppers. The other seasonings seem to take care of that.
I par boil our tomatoes and take the skin’s off so they are just like canned tomatoes. We love peppers. We grow at least a couple of dozen different types and eat them in everything all summer. They are fun to grow and do well here.
Sounds good, I should try some peppers next time. ☺️

No, it’s ground turkey. I stopped the red meat a while back because of the cholesterol and fat.
