          • It depends. I took Maddy and her two older sisters out for Sunday brunch when she was about three. She was obsessed over the recent passing of my mother at the time. Anyway, two very elderly couples came and sat at the table next to ours. Maddy noticed them and scowled at me. I asked what was wrong and she said “you told me people don’t come back after they died” I said “yes, so?”. She looked at the elderly couples, rolled her eyes at me and said “well they did!”. Genie and Brook lost it! I thought they were going to slide under the table from embarrassment.
