On today’s eleven-mile ride I snapped eighteen photos along the way, here are five of them. The saddled mailbox looks pretty cool, doesn’t it? This equine lover’s home is for sale. The palm tree photos are located at the entrance to a recently completed gated community with homes that have got to be $500,000 homes, too rich for my bank account!
Here is the forecast for the next several days here. Like much of the nation at the moment, we are experiencing warmer than normal temperatures but I don’t hear anyone complaining about it! The two photos were taken this morning after getting some errands done and paying some bills. I never order bills, but they just show up in my post box!
Here are some older pics from 2017 using the old Nikon D3300 body. The image quality isn’t that great if you look hard at the images. The iPhone 12 takes better photos than that old camera did! Visit the Town Square website.
Good Tuesday morning! Here’s something different this morning, no blue skies or sunshine although that’s what it’s like outside just now. Sunshine and 75F are on deck for today, I’ll take it! Great bike riding weather…
Are ya tired of my blue sky photos? I hope not! There are several small electric pontoon boats on these little man-made lakes and until yesterday, I’d never seen one taking a very slow cruise. Not exciting to watch but it does remind me of my boating days. I think these little lakes are no more than five feet deep, deep enough for these little boats. I found out yesterday while chatting with an older gent that these lakes are actually some shade of green. I thought that they were teal or turquoise? I have always been very colorblind when it comes to the blues and red/orange shades.
Here are a few iPhone clicks from yesterday’s ride in the sunshine. It’s amazing how close the big ducks will allow me to get to them. Sunshine and seventy-two degrees are forecast for Las Vegas today, very nice!
I enjoyed a nice eleven-mile ride this afternoon under the blue sky among lovely palm trees. Purchasing the electric bike has been a great choice! Here are some iPhone photos for you along the way. Coming upon the parking block with the words about President Trump was disturbing, such pure hatred. Whoever you are, please leave the country.
Here is Mona as you’ve never seen her before! 😂
From 2018, here is a photo of the runways at our Nellis Air Force Base with a jet leaving the runway. The aircraft pass rather close overhead and the sound is fantastic if you love aircraft like I do. The traffic photo was taken on Charleston Boulevard heading east. If you like lots of traffic, we have it! Sunshine and 70 degrees are on tap for today, nice!
Now that my back is doing much better I was able to get a few miles of riding in this early afternoon, it felt good to get back to riding again. I stopped at this nice fountain located in a large business park and snapped these photos with the iPhone even though the Nikon was in the bike bag. As promised, the sky is blue and it’s in the upper 60s, perfect!
Here are the last photos of yesterday’s beautiful sundog and some random if not dull photos of the little foothills on the west side of the valley. I’ve been texting with my sister and dad this morning, they are getting one to three inches of that nasty white stuff today and we are looking at 71 degrees in Vegas tomorrow. Yeah, it’s pretty to look at, but this ain’t 1971 when the family was heavy into snowmobiling. Age really changes us all, doesn’t it! Dad and I are all about NO snow!
This is the most recent list of slow-cooked chili in my pot of chili built today:
- 4 cans of Bush’s Chili Beans, hot style
- 2 cans of of Rotello Habanero sauce.
- One small can of Hunt’s tomato sauce
- About one-half large white onion
- 2 Sarrono peppers
- 1 Red Bell Pepper
- 1 full package of McCorrmick HOT chili powder
I use no meat these days, add turkey, beef and anything else you like to this simple recipe. I hope that this simple recipe will help you eat well! Today’s forecast is for 66F and full sunshine with blue skies, 70F is up for tomorrow.
