Yep, it’s time to build a fresh pot once again! This pot has Pinto beans and two different kinds of red kidney beans than the previous pot so it will have a bit different flavor. Yummy licious!
Looks good, John. We make a lot of soups and stews here too.

Hi Lavinia, thanks! I make chicken noodle soup but don’t know how to make other soups or stew. My mother made the most delicious bean soup, stews, salmon patties and more. Wish I had her recipes!

I never use a recipe as the soups and stews are from whatever is on hand or needs to get eaten up. Iron Chef style… đ

That sounds delicious! I’ve never tried making that before. Do you buy the beef cubed or cook a big piece of beef and shred it?

This pot I used hamburger. We often use like a round steak. We have bought beef bones to make the broth but often use Campbell’s broth. Have to add canned tomatoes, barley and cabbage – as well as the onions, carrots, celery etc. This time I used frozen garden tomatoes. They were a bit strong for soup so we have diluted it twice. Now we have to add more vegetables. đ

That sounds delicious, Annmarie! And a tasty problem to have. đ

Thank you, John!

Your welcome, maybe you can post some photos and thoughts about your food on your blog. Sounds like a delicious idea!

That would definitely be a challenge if I did one post a day on a meal I made! Might be something fun to do to kick off the new year.
