Here are some old drone photos with the camera pointed straight down at the drone’s maximum altitude of 400 feet. The desert floor takes on a very different look from this perspective, doesn’t it? One photo is actually not from 400 feet, it’s the photo with the Joshua trees looking much closer in. I still regret selling the drone though but oh well…

These pictures are so neat and give such a different perspective of the landscape.
Thanks! They look almost nothing like they do at ground level.
Fascinating perspectives
Thanks Derrick!
I see the Joshua’s!
Directly below! Don’t land on it, you’ll be bleeding!
So you are doing drone photography too John ?
Hi Rudi, I sold the drone a good while ago and have two folders from the video and photos taken with it. I sold it because of the trouble you can get into if flying in the wrong areas and the possible legalities. I think that too many dopey people have made serious mistakes flying them that has ended up messing things up for the rest of us. I do wish I still had it, but don’t want the trouble it can bring if this makes any sense…
Definitely a different perspective!
A very different view! I’d like to have a drone again just for the photography, but don’t want the legal hassles that could come with it. I’ll stay grounded!
