I put a few more miles on the new bike this afternoon and visited the same area again too. The color of the water looking down from the bridge makes it clear that the lakes are man-made, notice the pipes on the lake bottom. My guess is that they are aeration pipes because there are places in the lakes that are always bubbling.

Beautiful captures. The lake looks stunning, especially next to those gorgeous mountains and blue skies.
Thank you!!
Photo tagged “Mountain” really highlights the mountains. Great capture John.
Thank you! I’ve changed the way I name photos from the iPhone recently. There was no wind at all, nice for a change.
A lovely set
Thank you, Derrick!
Love the bird with the wings like it’s running.
Thanks! It takes patience to get a photo like that as you never know when the bird will do this.
I love these white geese.
Thanks, Anita! As best I know, they are Pekin ducks? They sound like ducks when I was taking the photos.
Manmade or not, it is very scenic!
I agree! No engines are allowed, just electric motors. There are lots of little pontoon boats on the four lakes.
That is neat! I love pontoon boats.
Me too, my folks had a couple of them years ago, I grew up on a beautiful lake. Was driving a 20ft powerboat legally at age 15!
Those were the days. That probably wouldn’t happen now.
I think you’re right, Annmarie. This was 1974, many moons ago! And the best years of my life in so many ways too.
Pretty good for me too!
Ahhh the 1970s and 80s, such great years!
They were good. Music definitely went downhill in my mind. 🙂
We think alike, it sure did unfortunately…
