From 2018, here is a photo of the runways at our Nellis Air Force Base with a jet leaving the runway. The aircraft pass rather close overhead and the sound is fantastic if you love aircraft like I do. The traffic photo was taken on Charleston Boulevard heading east. If you like lots of traffic, we have it! Sunshine and 70 degrees are on tap for today, nice!

I love watching airplanes take off and land. I am just not so fond of being in one. 😕
I understand your fear of flying, it’s strange being inside a beer can eight miles above planet Earth!
And somehow always flying over a large body of water. Like it wouldn’t be enough to get blown out of an airplane, they have to drown you when you land?🥺
I flew to Bermuda with my second wife for the honeymoon, nothing but the Atlantic Ocean for a very long way
When we fly, Dan always takes the window seat so I don’t have to see what is below us. 😁
And close the shade too, right? For this trip I chose an isle seat, rare for me but it’s so much easier when you need to visit the tiny hole they call a bathroom.
No, he likes looking out – and he needs all the space he can get. I like the aisle seat for that reason as well. 😏
I always feel bad for having to ask mt seat mates to get up, it’s not always easy for folks to get up.
Especially in a crowded airplane. 😉
You bet, I’ve had some very large seat mates over the years!
Dan’s not that big but certainly feels cramped in airplane seats. I always arrange for direct flights, even though they are more expensive but we haven’t flown far enough to make first or business class worth the extra cost for the extra space.
Business Class is way too expensive, I always land in the back of the tube. This flight will be direct into DTW, or Detroit like last May. My niece will drive me to my destination.
I like sitting at the back of the plane. 😊 Dan humors me because he knows I struggle. 😂 – and the flight attendants come and sit beside us. 😌
