On a side note, your composition of it is quite lovely. I agree with you why do they build them like that now. In our hometown, they just rebuilt the McDonald’s and it looks like an industrial box instead of a welcoming restaurant. They did improve the drive-through though, that’s been VERY busy.

It happens here too, some of it is to do with new building codes for bushfire resistance. Tilt slab concrete bunkers with few windows. I guess it’s what you put in it that makes it a home.
That’s more like a big prison cell with furnishings!
No bars on the windows, that would hinder your exit in the event of a fire 🔥 lol.

We have our family Christmas early every year so that some family members can escape to Florida sooner.
It’s been this way for many years. I’ve been here two days longer than usual too. Looking forward to getting home tomorrow!
I miss the sunshine, palm trees and sunshine! I took a few videos showing the gray sky and wind with leaves blowing around.
Nothing has changed in that regard. Not so sure I could live up here again.
