The last pot of chili I built a few days ago had three Serrano peppers added to it, I didn’t think that they would add so much fire to the chili and I actually had a bit of difficulty eating it! My tongue and lips would sizzle like a burger on the grille. Taste tests after this pot had one hour of six hours of slow cooking behind it proves that this pot won’t light my fire this time. Always keep some milk around to help tame the flames!

Looks really good.
Simply delicious, John!
Thank you, kaya!β€οΈ
Send some over John . I can send my fish cakes over to you.
I occasionally make dishes that end up being a bit too warm for me, but oddly it is never chilli.
I’d like to see how you make your chili and try it!
It looks much like yours but I add some type of ground meat. And less hot peppers. π
I used ground beef for a long time, then switched to turkey because of the fat. I stopped adding meat around six months ago or so, it’s still super good without. Losing the meat means you can add other stuff to replace the total volume. πβΊοΈ
I sometimes use turkey but we live in cattle country so we are raised on beef.
