It was great to get back on the bike today for a total of nineteen miles on this beautiful sunny day. It was 65 degrees which made a nice ride too, the windstorm lasted three days and this isn’t the first time I’ve seen them blow this long. These photos are a mix of iPhone and Nikon images. It’s fun to greet other bikers and people while on these rides. Vegas will see 68 degrees Saturday and 72 on Sunday, a great forecast for February.

Hi John
You had a storm lasting three days, wow. We just had a storm lasting 6 hours and that was unusually long. We just blogged about it.
All the best

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
That was a windstorm here in Las Vegas, our east coast got hit hard!
Wow beautiful skies! I can’t wait for warm weather here, we had more snow the last couple of days and rain, such weird weather!
Thanks, I love my adopted home! It was 14F in my hometown this morning and they got dumped on with at least 6 inches in the last 24 hours or so. It’ll be 70 in Vegas today!
Another day in paradise.
Ha, well, it’s a step in the right direction. 😬
Please forgive me but what is a detention basin? I don’t believe we have those in Texas.
It’s OK. It’s basically a big hole in the ground designed to hold or detain flood waters that come down from the surrounding mountains. Especially important during the monsoon season.
So like our bayous?
I went this morning for early walk and it was freezing cold and you are having a nice weather, John. It’s not fair 🙂 Last time you biked 16 miles, today nineteen. Wow! Today I walked only a mile and was very tired.
The images are so beautiful!!!
Thank you, Kaya! I really enjoy riding again. I’m guessing that you are 500+ miles north of Las Vegas.
